Attendance

Attendance at school and punctuality are crucial factors in ensuring the progress of pupils. Regular attendance is important for a child's educational and social development.

Missing even a few days of school can have a significant impact on a child's learning, as they may miss out on important lessons and activities that cannot be easily replicated.

We understand the importance of attendance and punctuality, and our Home School Community Liaison teacher, Niamh works closely with parents to promote regular attendance. Every child must be at school every day, and we make every effort to ensure that pupils attend regularly and arrive to school on time.

Regular attendance not only benefits the pupil, but it also benefits the class as a whole. When pupils attend regularly, they can participate fully in all classroom activities, engage with their peers and build positive relationships with their teachers. This, in turn, creates a positive learning environment where pupils can thrive and reach their full potential.

We encourage parents to work with us to ensure that their child attends school every day and arrives on time. We understand that there may be circumstances where a child cannot attend school, and we ask parents to let us know by sending in a note in their child’s journal or by telephoning the office.

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for a child's educational and social development. We are committed to ensuring that every pupil attends school every day, and we work closely with parents to achieve this goal.
